Platform Policies
Policies governing the use of VectorAxis platform keys and managed provider access. Last updated: July 2026.
Platform Pricing Policy
VectorAxis platform key pricing is based on the underlying provider's token rates plus a transparent service fee. Current per-model prices are shown on the pricing page.
Provider rate changes
Provider rates (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) are set by the respective providers and may change at any time. VectorAxis refreshes its published rates from the upstream pricing catalogue on a daily basis, so provider changes are reflected automatically.
Credits are a prepaid dollar balance, not a locked-in token rate. Each request is charged its actual cost computed at the rate in effect at the time of the request — so a provider rate change applies to subsequent usage regardless of when your credits were purchased. Usage that has already been billed is never re-charged retroactively.
Service fee
The service fee is a percentage applied on top of the provider's token rates and is billed as part of each request's cost. VectorAxis will give 30 days' notice via email and on this page before increasing the service fee percentage; a change takes effect for requests billed on or after the effective date.
Supported providers (Phase 1)
Platform keys currently support OpenAI and Anthropic models. Additional providers will be added in future releases.
Credit Balance Policy
Credits represent prepaid spend capacity. When your credit balance reaches zero, your platform key transitions to EXHAUSTED and all requests are rejected until you add more credits. Credits do not expire — unused credits remain available until spent or withdrawn.
Top-ups
Credit top-ups are purchased via Stripe from the billing section of the dashboard.
Withdrawals & refunds
The organization owner can withdraw the credit balance at any time from the billing dashboard. Withdrawals are all-or-nothing — the full remaining balance is withdrawn in a single request; partial withdrawals are not supported.
Withdrawn funds are refunded to the original payment card via Stripe, applied against your most recent purchases first, up to the total you originally paid. Any promotional or free credit above what you paid cannot be refunded and is forfeited on withdrawal. While a withdrawal is settling, platform key usage and the creation of new platform keys are paused for the organization.
Account deletion
Because an outstanding credit balance represents funds we may owe back to you, an account or organization cannot be closed while it holds a credit balance — you must withdraw the balance first. See our Terms of Service for full details.
